hayyy there! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I hope none of you were worried. Just to confirm, I am still alive and well.. just SUPER busy. I think things are going to start toning down a bit now, though. Wait.. does that even make sense? We’re getting into the holiday season. Hmmm… Anyway, school and work are becoming a little more manageable and I find myself having half an hour to actually sit down at my computer to say hello to all of you!
Part of me feels guilty for not being a better blogger when times of craziness come. The other part doesn’t feel guilty at all. Blogging is a creative outlet for me; it’s where I get to express my love for nutrition, cooking, fitness and life in general and in order to do that I need to have ENERGY. I don’t want to spit out posts for the sake of it; I want to actually enjoy the process (after all, this is a hobby!). For these reasons, I hope you can forgive my lack of Sweat for Sweets lovin’ in times of insane busy-ness
So.. where to start?
Here are some fun photos I’ve snapped on my phone the last few weeks:
*chocolate pistachio donut from Glory Hole
*beautiful lights at Marben, a new fav. restaurant of mine
*the NEW PC mini cheescake pops – the.best.thing.you’ll.ever.have.
.. my favourite was the salted toffee cheesecake.
*Toronto Art Expo
*fall comfort foods
.. phew.
I’ve also been very bad about taking photos lately since I haven’t been blogging! I’m working on it. Promise
Today has been spent doing lots of nice around-the-house things. Last weekend my mom and I went to Ottawa to visit some family, so it’s been nice to relax a bit and get some #$*& done! After doing a workout this morning, I tackled some MUCH needed cleaning (it was a bad situation), laundry & good quality chillin’. I’m also officially VERY much into the Christmas spirit.
This is what’s going on right now:
Yup, that’s my faux fireplace. Thank youuu Rogers channel 204. Not cheezy at all, right?
I think the Sweet Evergreen candle + mini candy canes just add to the joy in this picture. The only way it could be any better would be if I had a beautiful Christmas tree in the background and perhaps some little elves doing a jig beside the TV there. OH, and I’ve also got my HOLIDAY FAVOURITES Galaxy music station going. There’s no such thing as Christmas overload, haven’t you heard?
Speaking of Christmas tree.. our little guy only has one ornament and the lights aren’t working. It’s sadder than the most pathetic Charlie Brown tree you’ve ever seen. We’ll work on the situation and maybe by tomorrow it’ll be share-worthy
The rest of the day will be spent baking Christmas cookies (are you really surprised?), doing some Christmas shopping online + painting my toenails red. Oh, and a Christmas sing-a-long will obviously be going on during the entire afternoon. Then, tonight, Duncan and I are going to the STARS + Metric concert with our good friends, Kerry and Alex. Should be a great time!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far. And for my American friends, I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and hope you’ve all stuffed yourselves with turkey + pumpkin pie!
Lots of love. It’s good to be back!
A xo
